| Re: 1984 honda 750 interceptor cooling fan problems I have a 1984 Interceptor 700. I have the cooling fans wired to a switch on the "dashboard" and I just turn them on manually. If the ambient temp is under about 85 degrees, I don't need to use them at all. If it is over that, I just flip the manual fan switch and it keeps the bike relatively cool. Not sure you want to do a manual switch like that, but you can do it for a couple of dollars, providing that the issue isn't with the fan or fan motor itself.
For what it is worth, I'm having this exact issue with my 2002 Interceptor. Try pulling the fan motor and hooking it directly to the battery to confirm that the fan spins. Also, I am betting their is a fuse for the fan motor that should probably be the first thing you check. |
