Erion cams for the 919

Erion Racing has some cams available for the 919...

Rumor has it that Erion actually has a full engine kit for the 919, very pricey, but it puts you in the 130hp range.

Interested party's can contact Amy at 800/700-3599 or
info@erionracing.com ask for part # 14342-MCZ-105

my writeup on the 919 cams and engine kit here

cheers

He did put a specific link. Motorush just doesn't allow you to link directly to their threads. Copy/Paste the URL into your browser and you can get there.

Considering its the old DBR900 motor, there should be a slew of things for it. I know the purposaly detuned it a bit and shifted the powerband down for more streetability...I bet stock CBR cams/pistons would drop in to get more top end.

Re: Erion cams for the 919

you can make more...

Fisher in Au is making 160hp w/ a 929 head graft
Alexa is making 130+
Erion did a 945 big bore w/ head work, cam etc and is making about 130

basically you bore it, hot it up, flow it, oversize the valves and you get to a nice solid upper 120's figure...but man, we're talkin $4k+ in parts alone (retail)

Re: Erion cams for the 919

The 929/954 head thing ....ahah ...i seriously don't think that it is posisble
different width ..different size and all..bolt locations on the block doesn't make it possible to me :p

I just started my 919 with 900RR 98 cams ( fitted a lathed cam pulse sensor on it )
..stock bottom ..shaved head 0.030" and ported/matched TB/Head

and to my surprise it ran fine..except for the fire that caught in my tail after 30-40 seconds of run ( but that's another problem .. )

most of 900RR head parts and pistons will fit..but the difference in pistons dome height makes it not worth it compared to aftermarket pistons

can't wait to get DA exhaust on ( bented :p 954 header + all custom rest )

so about the streetfighter... i think that BigASS'z bike is an awsome work of art!
and i am 100% sure that this bike was a real nice project to work on
( unlike mine wich was only @#$@!$# since start :p )

so neway here is a quick peak of what i'tll look like
( if it doesnt' burn compeltly next time i start it up :p )

Jin'z Horny 900 in construction site

Re: Erion cams for the 919

OMG

i have to take the head off again ..

seems like the dull pins doesn't allow the head to seat properly ..
so coolant is leaking on the back of it..and the engine doesn't hold idle ( air leak probably )

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ...
