Best Map for PC3 and Cored Stock Exhaust?

Best map I have tried for stock exhaust was the one that Dan Kyle graciously installed on the unit before sending it to me.
Real shame that I forgot to save the map before the dealer tech zero'd it.
To add to the fun, I cored the exhaust which was cool for sound and sounds(to me anyway) similar to the SATO exhaust but a little raspier, tho this has mellowed over the last year. Now I wish I had left them stock because they are quieter for early morning runs around populated areas.

I am running the Erion map and have dyno'd at 103 hp.
Unfortunely, this map is too rich and I am seeing black accumlation at the exhaust.

Anyone have any suggestions for a leaner map?

TIA,

I'm having the same issue - black accumulation at the exhaust tip. I have the stock exhaust and air filter, and a Hindle pipe.

Any recommendations?

motocycho had a map made up for cored cans, it was done by dynojet at the corporate facility...only issue would be the 'atmospherics'...may not be the best for a bike run at sea level

you're getting soot cause the bikes run a bit rich from the factory...and dyno tuned map should address the issue

in lieu of that, grab one of the maps out there...

and swing by 919.org, several well known maps posted there

Hey RD!

the folks at the local Honda dealer dyno'd my bike and installed the Erion map.(103 HP) but I think it is still too rich. I will try one of the other maps and see if it helps.

Re: Best Map for PC3 and Cored Stock Exhaust?

Someone here who actuall knows what they are talking about, please chime in, but I was told that in order to get peak HP from an engine, it needs to run just a (very) little rich. I ran that map also, but have since switched to the stock map. Probably not the best if you're looking to get peak #s, but I have a 929 for that anyways. I have good throttle response, great fuel mileage, got over 50 mpg's once. With bafflectomised factory cans and exhaust extentions, NO STINK!

Re: Best Map for PC3 and Cored Stock Exhaust?

Thanks for the post up! I am headed to sportbike Northwest next week and will try to get either the stock map reinstalled or preferbly the cored map installed.
I looked for the maps on Project 919 but they were not there for some reason. too many projects not enough time.
sounds like I am prime for a motorcycle road trip!!!
