| New nine one nine owner I'm new to the forum and new to the 919. Having sold my 1985 V65 to my son recently I just picked up my new (0 miles) 2003 919. I referred to it as a "nine nineteen" several times but the Honda sales people kept correcting me to "nine one nine". I understand "Hornet" on the other side of the pond. Anyway I'm getting the performance feel for it very quickly and I love it. I will be looking for some aftermarket additions like a passenger backrest and some storage options (both easily removable perferred) and appreciate any recommendations from forum members. |

| Re: New nine one nine owner Welcome to the 9'er family.
For storage I normally just throw my tank bag on the bike and go.
You'll probably get tired of the stock seat quick, I highly recomend the Corbin seat and it can be had with a removable passenger back rest.

| Re: New nine one nine owner Awesome bike, I had one, wish I hadn't sold it, I had these saddle bags, in black, they held a good amount of gear and complimented the bike very well. http://www.chaseharper.com/SaddleBags/3100mcmGYBR.jpg |

| Re: New nine one nine owner I don't know, the 919 is said nine-nineteen on the Best Coast.
FWIW, the 929: Nine-two-nine, and 954: nine-fifty-four. I don't know who makes these rules, I just go with them.
I envy you 919 riders, I'm still jonesing for a "standard" after I sold mine.

I've also been eyeing the Chase Harper bags, but haven't pulled the trigger. Still recovering from the purchase of the Corbin. |

I too find the stock seat to be quite uncomfortable after a while in the saddle and would love to find a reasonable solution - even if it's just the stock seat base and cover with new foam.
BTW, Welcome, and enjoy the 919, it's a great bike!
Thanks,
-Mike |
