Oh, yeh, I see it in the close up of the rear wheel now. Downright beautiful front setup you have now!

How does it all work now that you've had some time to scrub those tires?

Re: inverted fork options???

so here is a crazy idea...

I was lookingat and comparing the stock specifications between the 06-up to body change 599's and the 2004(should be the same for all years except 04 and up are adjustable) 919s front forks on Bikez.com. It seems all the dimensions between the two are like maybe 1-2 millimeters off. they both have the same size tire and brake rotors, Im not sure if the calipers are the same and the triple trees on both are set up for the one peice handle bars

So has anyone considered trying a 599 front end on 919? I would imagine that really it would be just a matter of making the triple tree work and since that is doable with the 954 tree then it should be with the 599. Also theoretically, since the travel and tube size are virtually the same and you retain the one peice handle bars, I would think you'd stay very close to the original riding position. On top of that if you didnt want to try and fabricate a way to mount up your original speedo and lamp you could always go with the speedo and lamp from those year 599s.

So the 919 would have inverted forks but still have the same look as stock even if you went with the newer style clocks from the 599. Does anyone have any reason why this would be impossible?

Sorry for the long post I and if this has been suggested before sorry for the repeat. I haven't been on the forum in about 2 years since I sold my 919. A sale I have since regretted more and more everyday.
