919 Sato exhaust...eliminate the stink?

I'm about to be in the market for some aftermarket pipes for my 919, and I've read all the same stuff everyone else has about the Sato exhaust, and their clever extended tip designed to reduce exhaust stink. While I think the legendary stink smells like the sweet smell of freedom, my wife isn't thrilled with it, which also opens the door to her not being pissed about me spending yet more money on my bike. Anyway, just wondering if anyone who actually owns a 919 and has put those Sato pipes on has noticed any difference. Are there other alternate options? Sorry if this was covered in a different post...I searched, and didn't come up w/ anything conclusive.

The Sato pipes won't totally get rid of the stink problem. But strap on a PC III with the Satos and Dan Kyle's fuel map for the PCII and the viola! The bike won't run as rich and the stink is gone.

Cool, thanks. I've already got a PCIII (I know, not terribly useful on stock bike, but found one real cheap, and couldn't pass it up, 'specially since i plan on getting aftermarket exhaust at some point). Thanks for the info...glad to hear there's a solution.

Will it work with a stock can?

Yes, you can run a PCIII and a custom fuel map with the stock cans. You'll get a better punch with some aftermarket cans though.

I think with the undertail exhaust the exhaust smell is always going to be an issue. With a proper map you can reduce the gas smell, but it's going to be tough to get rid of the smell altogether.
