Honda 599 Windshield

Good morning all, I am brand new to the forum and the world of motorcycles. I recently purchased a 2006 Honda 599 (CB600F) as a present to myself for getting my new job.

I've yet to ride the thing as I made the purchase just 3 weeks before the snow hit here in BC. I also still need to go and get my license. But all of this is well in hand, I have my appointment and some lessons all lined up, and the snow is on the way out.

What I'm after today is any fellow 2006 Honda 599 (CB600F) owners who might have a photo of this bike with the Honda windshield installed. I work at a place where a large amount of my co-workers are avid riders and all have suggested that having the windshield can only be a good thing. As Honda seems to have nothing on their website of what it looks like I would appreciate a sneak peak of what it looks like before I go and spend more dough.

Subsquently and suggestions or comments about whether or not to have the windshield would awesome. Thank ya.

I looked at both the Honda windshield as well as the GIVI windscreens. Everything I read said the GIVI was better, and after installing it and taking a couple of cruises, and opening it up a little I can say that it really makes a difference. Even sitting straight up at 150kmh it keeps the wind of my chest -- did get a little bit of a helmet bobble though. Check it out at twistedthrottle.com

Yeah -- that's not a bad price. But, I think the Honda windscreens only fit the 2005 and earlier models for the 599. This is the GIVI one -- same price, and much hotter! TwistedThrottle.com : Givi A305 Airstars Windscreen (Honda 599 / Hornet CB600F, '05-) - Givi A305

Oh, and by the way, the GIVI windshield takes all of 10 minutes to install. You are in the Kootenays? I'm in Calgary -- maybe someday we ought to meet half way.
