| Re: just got a 94 cb1000 I have a '94 with a Vance and Hines full system, stage 1 jet kit and whatever the Vance & Hines equivalent of the Power Commander is. Previous owner claimed 115 on the dyno but I am 55 and bought it more for the cool factor and size than pure performance. I'm 6'-4" and the bike fits me perfectly but get the Corbin gunfighter seat while it is still available-big difference. Have Ohlins shocks on the rear and will fit either VTR1000 or later model USD forks from a CBR to get a front end that is adjustable and compatible with the Ohlins; that will be my winter project. Have also done a full LED conversion using Thurn LED mirrors they sell for the 919, clear alternatives taillight with integrated signals from a Kawi ZRX1200 and LP aftermarket signals on the front; Thurn LED license plate light also. Headlight is from a Suzuki SV650 with a Silverstar H4 bulb. Pazzo levers from a VFR800 are a direct fit for the CB1000.

| Re: just got a 94 cb1000 dredging up an older thread, but......
i just picked up a 94, black, with 12.5k miles on it. Bough from original owner older guy, very clean. V&h full system was on it, otherwise stock.
I noticed we don't have much choice in tires due to the wheel size.
It has Pirelli dragons, MT03 (i think). What are you running for tires?
And has anyone put a small fairing on theirs? I would like to do some weekend touring, but gotta cut the wind a little.

| Re: just got a 94 cb1000 I picked up a '94 CB1000 last year w/ 3000 miles on it. Mine has Dunlop Sportmax tires and no modifications that I'm aware of.
Hitting the expressways definitely demands a fairing of some sort. I saw a reasonably priced cafe racer fairing, but wasn't sure how it would look on this bike. |

| Re: just got a 94 cb1000 Gotta 95, just put on new dunlop roadsmart front and 220 rear. Seems like a nice combo. There's not alot of tire choices.
