New to Forum and Corbin Seat

Hey guys just started getting into reading forums and thought I'd join. Last summer I bought an 07 919. Absolutely love the bike but have already made a few changes. I put renthal motocross bars on as well as Jardine RT-1 titanium exhaust. I am currently looking into adding the corbin seat but wanted your opinion on how it works considering im not to fond of the look.

Re: New to Forum and Corbin Seat

I had a corbin on my nighthawk 750. It was a nice seat, but Weirdly wide, and it made the bike look like a grandpa bike. Plus they have a break in, and MAN are they uncomfortable right at first. Worth it in the long run, for comfort, but I like the STOCK seat on my 919 WAY better than the corbin on my nighthawk... Assuming all corbins are the same, I'm sticking with my stock seat.

Re: New to Forum and Corbin Seat

If you do a search on the Internet, you will find horror stories about their customer service. Seats that do not fit right and they will not accept returns. If you want it fixed, be prepared to pay. If you want one of their off the shelf seats, if it doesn't fit make sure you can take it back to the dealer you bought it from. I have friends that have gone through this mess. If you are close to Corbin, you can go there and have a custom seat made and they don't get paid until you leave.

Try these guys instead:

Re: New to Forum and Corbin Seat

You have to send off your seat to the company to have sargent do it. The main reason I was asking was because I saw a corbin seat for a 919 on ebay for $100 and thought it may be a good deal. But its not worth it at all if its not a huge difference from the stock seat considering I have no real issues with the stock seat.
