| Best bike I've ever had!!!!  The 919 is the best bike I've ever owned. I found it at the local dealer 2 weeks ago. Brand new leftover '06 model. Got a huge discount. I've wanted one of these ever since they were introduced here in the US. Finally........  Anyway, been really busy lately and last saturday, after it sitting for 2 weeks in the garage with 55 miles on it, I finally got it out to put 100+ on it. All I can say is WOW! I've had about 6 bikes in my life and the closest any has come was a Kawa ZR7S, but it pales in comparison. I've never had a bike with 100+ hp before. I know there are alot of other supersports out there that'd blow the 919 away but man, this thing could get me in trouble too fast anyway. I'm very happy!  I hope to learn alot from these forums when I get a chance to surf them. Looking forward to mods etc etc etc. I love the naked look and feel but I might need some kind of touring shield when the weather turns colder. But that will come off when it warms up. | Re: Best bike I've ever had!!!! I have been shopping for a nice bike to save some duckets on this crazy So. Cal Gas...taking the driver course next week and I had my mind on a Shadow 750...met the nicest Gent at Simi Valley Honda (Plug for Daryl? ) and he asked me what I was looking for etc..needless to say we walked out back and the moment I saw her I knew I had to have her..minimalistic body cladding...looks like its ready to leap from a standstill...my first bike ever but I have a feeling based on everyone's comments that I will be very happy..I will report back when I first get fire her up...sigh...this course won't be coming fast enough. |

To answer what my plans are...well, frame sliders, windscreen (don't know if I want short or tall yet), PC3, centerstand, rear mount helmet locks, at least a topbox, and anything else as the $$$ allow. As of now, it's still stock but I'm still happy! |
