| Re: A question for everyone Well over in the UK (and probs other places), we have a system where by the last digit determines the year.
Lets talk about my 954RR, it was made in 2002 therefore is called a CBR900RR-2 (the two represents the year) and the same goes for if i had a brand new 2008 Fireblade, it would be CBR1000RR-8 (the eight represents the year)
This system works too for the Hornets, mine is 2005 therefore making it a CB900F-5. Yours is a 2007 making yours a CB900F-7...

| Re: A question for everyone There is a lot you can tell from a VIN. I look at them all the time to find out what model year a car is. (I work on cars for a living) The ninth number represents year. |

| Re: A question for everyone Im not sure if the VIN Numbers in different parts of the world are different...?
Im not totally sure. But yes you are right, the vin number reveals the identity of the vehicle (and you can do checks on them to find if their is finance/history of a crash etc)
