Re: starting your bike after one month.

You need to charge the battery? It should hold charge for a month no problem. Let the oil warm up before you change it.

Other then that once you change your oil then just let the bike warm up before you ride it. I would ride it for atleast a good half hour before shutting down to let the battery charge up.

1) Start it up
2) Gear up
3) Ride
4) Change the oil when you get back

Re: starting your bike after one month.

Thanks..I will do it this weekend. by the way, this may sound a stupid question but how the battery is charged in a motorcycle? Is the same than a car using the alternator?

Same thing as a car, but we call the alternator in the bike a stator.

I call it a stator as well but the Factory Honda Service manual calls it an alternator.

Re: starting your bike after one month.

Fuel injection is nice as there is no gas sitting in a float bowl somewhere going bad. A month is nothing for the 919...be sure to check the air in the tires as it steers really crappy with not enough in them. 36F-42R
