Brake noise

I've had my 919 for a couple months now. Love it! But recently, especially when it's hot outside, the front brakes make noise when applied. The bike only has less than 1k on it so I know they're not worn. What could be causing this noise? How would I get it to stop? I can't really find a word to explain the sound....it's kinda like scrawwwwwwwwnch.
Help!! plz

Re: Brake noise

Hey -I'd start with cleaning the rotors with an approved brake cleaner and go from there. The pads probably are not bedded in yet. Sometimes new brake pads can get glazed. If the problem continues, take the bike back to the dealer and they should take care of it.

Does it sound like this?

This is a common problem discussed to death over on wristtwisters.com. The only guys that have fixed it did so by replacing the stock rotors with some other brand like Galfer. I had the problem too. Dealer couldn't fix it and they tried everything including rotor sanding, pad replacement, caliper lube, etc. Honda America knows it's an issue. I got sick of it and put on some Galfer Waves. Problem solved. But it shouldn't take a bg cash outlay on a new bike to fix this annoying problem. Now that the 919 has been discontinued, don't look for Honda to bend over backwards to resolve this. Good luck.

Re: Brake noise

YEAH!! That's it! Man it's annoying! I've actually started using just the rear brake when I can. I know, not a good habit to get into. Funny thing is that it only does it when it's hot outside. In the mornings on my commute to work it's quiet like it should be but on the ride home.....
Thanks for the vid & the info. Guess a pair of rotors are in store down the road somewhere for me.

Re: Brake noise

Take it back if its under waranty... If not, why buy OEM. Look for a set of wavey ones - Yum!
