| Re: 919 deal ? Great bike. Bulletproof. Fun to ride. Cheap to insure and maintain. 7K OTD sounds like a good price but you may be able to find a slightly used '07 or even '08 for a grand less than that. |

| Re: 919 deal ? They discontinued the 919 after model year 2007. I have been watching the prices on the 919's for the past two years. The used marketplace has firmed up a bit in the last year and there seems to be less 919's available for sale used than in the past. I almost always buy my bikes used but the price difference between the used 06 and 07 that I see would make me buy the new one at seven grand. Mark |

| Re: 919 deal ? I bought my '07 new from the dealer last Feb for 7200 OTD, and an 06 is exactly the same, even the color... at 6500 I'd probably do it... After all, your warranty starts the day YOU drive it off the lot. |

| Re: 919 deal ? For what it's worth, I just bought a used 2007, only 1K miles, for $5700. Got it from a dealer here in San Diego after looking online for newer models. It's not easy to find newer 919's here in SoCal. I tried to get it for $5000, but the dealer would only go $300 lower than his advertised price. But really I would have given him $6000 with no qualms. They're asking $8500 for new ones 50 miles north in Orange County. I love this bike, though I've only had it 2 days. It's one nice ride. And it likes to fly. |

| Re: 919 deal ? For what it's worth, I've got an '03 that had 1500 miles on it when I picked it up last summer for $4500. I've put around 6000 mi. on it since then, and just love it. I've had about 16 bikes over the years, and this one is my favorite street bike for sure. |

| Re: 919 deal ? I currently ride a '95 750 NightHawk, which I bought last August. Before that I had a LONG dry spell without a bike (got married, had a kid, etc).
My previous bike before the NightHawk was a 1984 1000 Interceptor. Before that, a '78 CB750F... this was the first bike I ever dragged a footpeg on
My first bike was a 550-four.
What do I think about the 919?
I have only test-ridden it so far, so my impression is from a very limited ride. I'll pick it up on Saturday morning.
So far, I am impressed. There's a LOT more power that the 750. Steering & handling is a lot tighter than the NightHawk; its much more "sport-bike" than the nighthawk. Learning this new bike will take a bit of time!
BTW - not my images of the bikes. I borrowed from the 'net.

| Re: 919 deal ? picked up the bike today from the dealer14 mike ride home..nice tight riding bike trannt smooth as silk cant believe how east neutral is to find think its the first bike ever that you can pop it into neutral from 2nd gear...question on the seat dont seem to fit snug around tank area theres up down movement theres the metal tongue on frame then plastic tongue under seat...not a tight fit up and down play when pulling up ..that normal |

| Re: 919 deal ? There are a few of the rubber grommets missing on my bike. I need to order them (or go to the dealer) for replacements.
Things may fit a bit better then, though there is no real functional problem now. |
