919 Lock, Cable and whatnot... Anyone with a 919 use a disc lock/cable lock or anything like that? What works well on the 919?

Re: 919 Lock, Cable and whatnot... I use a kryptonite disc lock i like it. its small and you can throw it under your seat. Not to mention it makes it a pain to steal your bike.

Re: 919 Lock, Cable and whatnot... While it may deter a single person from rolling your bike onto a trailer, nothing short of tying it to the ground will keep a small team of guys from taking your bike wherever they want. 4 guys ranging from tall to short (none were over 200lbs) loaded my 9er, when I wrecked it, into the back of my s10 with no problems.

Re: 919 Lock, Cable and whatnot... I use a Zena disk lock with an alarm built in. It not only helps deter theft, but it also keeps you from trying to ride away with the lock still on.

Re: 919 Lock, Cable and whatnot... I only wash mine once a year so it looks like something no one in his right mind would want to steal...

Re: 919 Lock, Cable and whatnot... I use a massive lock and chain (7.5mm - hexagon) and chain it to a post. Otherwise I put it in my trailer, chained to the a cross-bar and make sure the trailer is secure. I really think the only way to keep it safe is to hook it to something un-movable -- Like Beefsalad said.

Re: 919 Lock, Cable and whatnot... That is what insurance is for. Put theft on it and there is no need to lock it!
