CB750 Clutch install

Sup,

Currently i have my winter prodjects to do and i have a hard time deciding on my clutch. I need new friction plates since they tend to slip now when the engine is cold (with repsol) and then if i launch from a stop or a roll to hard it begins to slip. I can buy the stock plates but i have also found barnett clutch kits which are about 110$ more but also come with springs and tempered steel plates. Which would be better and would i need new springs and steel plates anyway if i were to install new clutch plates?

What is so good about barnett that they charge so much more and advertise that they are barnett if they aren't any different from stockers?

Re: CB750 Clutch install

I hear one of the major diff's are the springs. I've talked to some who think Barnett's are too stiff... like for racing rather than the average rider.

Yes, I'd say go with OEM too unless you are a very aggressive rider. Otherwise the strong springs will wear you down for normal street riding. New springs as well with the new friction plates should do the trick.
