I purchased an 06 919 in the US last year and live in Canada. While the speedometer does show both miles and km's, the KM's does not light-up at night and is very small to read in the day.

Does anyone know if I'm able to purchase the inside piece for the speedometer or would I need to get the whole unit?

I would think you can buy just the speedo face. Check with your local dealer.
