| New member here. (2007) 919 Just wanted to say hi guys. I have a 2007 919 .I got it new in 07. I just had my factory tire go down ( Hi Sports ) . I have 2,500 on the bike and tires. I started off slow with it. Never had a Sport bike before. Just cruisers. I love the bike and keeping it stock for the time. It's faster than I have balls. Anyhow I just ordered a set of Pirelli Diablo's Supersports for her. I have a buddie that's rides a Duc and he swears by them. But he does run a stickier Track/street tire. Corsa's ( I think ) . I also run Honda Synthetic oil in it with the Honda filter. I am a weekend and nice day rider. Sorry.I'm being HONEST. Been riding bikes my whole life. I'm 41 by the way. Dirt mostly but had street cruisers also. Honda 1100 shadow ACE. I ride up in the twistes and mountain rds. I hate highway riding. If it's all I had ( straight highways ) I would get rid of the bike. I ride in NC and cross the VA line and hit them hill also. I wear protective gear ( regular blue jeans ) , Mesh jacket with Armour, boots and gloves with the full face ARAI helmet. I have gotten swirly on it in a few curves. Hit the curve a little fast and it tightened up on me. Yeah I puckered .. But I'm adjusting and trying to be safe enough while still learning and having fun. Just wanted to say Hi, WarDawg |

| Re: New member here. (2007) 919 I live in the Winston Salem area of NC. I'm about 20 miles from the Virgina line. I'm also about 1 hour from VIR ( Virgina International raceway ) I hope to go there this year for the big race..... I'm learning guys. I ride with some pretty fast guys. I bring up the rear. I have learned anyone can go fast on straight aways. It's the curves that wins the race...... I love my 919.. It's perfect for me..... Cheers WarDawg |
