smoky hornet

a friend's hornet is belching smoke like a two stroker, backfires and gouts of flame comes out of the exhaust when ever it does, fouls plug (2 and 3) his mechanic is lost and cant find the problem. It idles poorly and when the throttle is twisted thats when all things happens....can anyone please help him?

look into some good plugs and a set of block off plates as well.

They are used when removing part of the smog system. Also you can do the flapper mod. Won't help your smoking issue, but its a free mod
