| Damn thing wont start... My bike has been in storage for 3-4 years now. I've pulled it out and cleaned it up to sell to a buddy of mine. Unfortunalty the thing wont start. I've installed a new battery, the thing cranks just fine but it does fire at all. Then I noticed quite a bit of gas dripping from the bottom of the exhaust, I figured it was just because I'd flooded the thing. So I leave it alone for a few hours and return to try again. Before I tried anything else I noticed gas dripping from the air box intake. I removed the air filter cover and over a pint of fuel spills out.
What could be the problem??
There's way to much fuel for it to be just a flooding issue from turning the engine over too long...
Could it be stuck injectors?? But wouldn't all of them have to be stuck open for the engine not to fire even a little?
It seems that this 919 is just dumping fuel into the engine... could it be a ecu problem and its holding all the injectors open and the fuel pump is constantly running trying to make pressure??
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...
PS is this the best place to post this thread? Is there an engine tech forum?? |
