CBR600 F4 / F4i Forks on a 919

Hello guys!

I Bent my forks again today - But you should have seen the car I ran into! I This was all on my 2002 919.

Anyone have an insights on what other forks are a direct bolt up to the 919. [Same spacing / travel, brake mounts, etc?]

I heard that F4 / F4i forks bolt up direct. Can anyone confirm this? I want to just slip out my old tubes and slip in some new ones. I can seem to find Used 919 Forks anywhere

The 5th post here says that f4 forks are a direct bolt up:
919 went belly up

And direction would be awesome!

in 2002 they made a 954.... in 2000-2001 they made a 929.....if it is a 929 then the 954 forks should bolt right up. check your vin. I can't remember the site at the moment but someone can help i bet.

I'm not sure if the Hornet 599/600 would fit on the 919?

I'm not sure how to check, maybe you would have to check the length in fork tubes? (Sorry but I really haven't got a clue... Maybe you could retain the original springs or upgrade the ones in the 599 forks if you were to go for them and if they fit of course?)

Re: CBR600 F4 / F4i Forks on a 919

Hi guys
I’m the next one with Honda 919 (aka Hornet 900) with bent forks and rim.
Will someone confirm the forks/front wheel off a CBR600F4 is a bolt on swap?
Does it go the same for CBR600F4i ?

Thanks

That looks great! Do the calipers from 919 bolt right up? Is that a f4i fender? Is the length the same as 919 forks?

That's a full F4i front end. From what I see, yes they are the same length, I can give you a definite tonight though.

thanks - and you are the MAN!
thanks!
sorry I didn't respond sooner. The forks will swap straight over. Same length and diameter. You just need the F4 fender. The calipers will bolt right up.
So - it looks like it is a go! Just need a f4/f41 fender. Are the f4 forks better then pree 2004 919 forks?

Thanks soooo much! I actually started a thread about this. Do you mind If I quote your reply?

thanks again!

Re: 919 forks
I haven't done the conversion but my understanding from Wrist twisters is it is a straight swap. buy the forks and fender, use the 919 calipers and wheel axel and spacers. The only change on calipers was from black to the gold ones.
You should go to wristtwisters.com Over there is hundreds of guys with 919's and lots of info. Everyone helps each other by selling old parts and even giving stuff away for free.
Join and introduce yourself.

ok Im jumping over to wrist twisters!
thanks everyone for all your help!
