Condenser Values 1984 XR100

Greetings,

I need a condenser for a 1984 XR100. I would really like to know the capacitance value and any other values which would make selecting a generic condenser in the future easy. There's no markings on the condenser on my bike. I've also searched all over the web.

If the above is not possible does anyone know a suitable replacement?
Or the electrical specifications that the 99cc engine runs at (Volts, amps?) to calculate for a condenser?

I'm pretty desperate here, any ideas?

No idea, but there is one on Ebay.

Have you considered replacing the points ignition with an electronic ignition from a later model?

Re: Condenser Values 1984 XR100

Hey Bladeracer I appreciate you taking time to reply. Though I'm fairly certain that condenser is actually mislabeled to fit a XR100. Here's why, Eventually last night I thought I had a lead on a condenser which would work.

I came up with this part number 30250-041-005. On non ebay sites the fitment for this condenser does not include the XR100. You can actually just see the "041" on the plastic in the background of the link you gave me.

Don't get me wrong if this is a suitable by specifications replacement then I'm happy, I just want to know it is by more than what some ebay seller lists as compatible. I have found this condenser at a great price from the same place I plan to order my points. I plan to order the condenser if it is suitable, but as I said on non ebay sites it does not list compatibility for an XR100.

Where ever I look outside of ebay for the fitment of this part # it does not include XR100. I know there's no individual part # for an XR100 condenser, only a part # for the ignition coil assembly. Is this why a more mainstream catalogued parts site doesn't include the fit for a XR100? Fitment examples below (Part# 30250-041-005):

(None of these sites list that same condenser to be XR100 compatible)

I would really prefer to know the specs of the condenser, but I guess I may have to consider CDI conversion. I'm assuming CDI conversion is going to cost a fair bit? Especially if i need a new flywheel. I'm pretty sure if I can't figure out a condenser replacement I'm just going to get rid of the old thing.
