Two strokes are dead for motocross - they just can't compete.
The AMA needs to up the displacement limit for two-strokes, four-stroke technology has come a long way, they need to even the playing field again. That'd be awesome to see a line up of 250's punched out to 300 or so

It might happen. The "125's" are allowed to go 2mm over and become 144s this year.

I agree. I guess the only reason thumpers have taken over is because they're twice the displacement. I loved two strokes more than anyone, but once I rode a modern fourstroke I had to convert - they are just so easy to ride.

I converted to 4-stroke, then converted back, there's just nothing like a big bore 2-stroke, they are so easy to ride, and the power is always there, that, and my ole 96 CR can get a green sticker

Did ATK buy the Cannondale line? All those 450 quads and bikes on the ATK page look like the old C'dales.

On a tight motocross track with huge jumps? I had a 97 KX500 - it was fun across blasting across a cornfield but for MX it was just too much for me ... but maybe I'm just a pussy!
