I just bought a rebuilt 1984 CR 500. I have had it running after some effort. Every time I try to start the bike it seems like it floods very easily. Just with the choke on and a few twists of the throttle it is flooded and wont start. It seems like the gas just runs through it. Im guessing it is the floats or jet in the carb. Can someone help me fix this.
Turn the choke on and give it 2-3 full twists on the throttle and blow in through the overflow hose on the left side of the carburetor and then kick over, it will start everytime if everything else is ok.
