Re: Who has one and what kind?

2 rides in a week with no pain. I think it's behind me now. The above incident was an unintentional nac-nac and I landed it as such. The tendonitis in my elbows is starting to get annoying at this point. But, I'm still planning another fun day in the dirt very soon. Getting old is starting to suck But I'm having more fun than ever!! How are you holding up?

Did you see the "unintentional" part? Was way out of shape by the time the front tire lofted. Wasn't pretty

2001 XR650R that I bought about 3 weeks ago. What a blast!

Still a bit sore from crashing on Friday when a dried rut grabbed the front wheel and sent me sliding on my head and shoulder for a while....but that's part of learning.

2002 KTM 520 SX. White bros pipe, Race Tech springs and valving.

Raced about nine times last year but not once in 03. Has something to do with putting 8k miles on my new CBR I think.

Probably going to trade it on a leftover '03 525SX soon.

Do you have a chest protector? If not, may I recommend one?

'87 CR5 with Pro Tappers and Bark Busters, FMF Gnarly pipe. The only time you need to downshift is when you can actually count the power strokes.

2002 XR650R

After riding Phatbloc's XR motard during FireBlades Days, I was hooked.

Smkeatr,

Where are you riding? We ride in Ocala NF sometimes.

Steve, been to Big Scrub once in Sept. We have a favorite area in Palm Bay. But I could meet you in Scottsmore for some sandy haul ass riding and some technical woods riding. If you have anywhere up your way, let me know and we'll hook up.

Scottsmoore sounds good. What kind of info is there on this location?

At ONF we ride at Lake Delancy, but I want to check out Big Scrub too!. Problem right now is hunting season. January should be all clear for ONF.

Re: Who has one and what kind?

A GPS or a group of people who don't get lost would be in order as not to unintentionally spend a week in the area. We hooked up with a handfull of 4 wheeler riders up from Miami and they gave us a tour. A tour that damn near ran our tanks dry. We split off to head back to the campground on fumes. The place is huge. Over 800,000 acres I believe. Mostly flat trails though. I really enjoy a mix of whoops, jumps and technical riding myself. There's where Palm Bay comes into play. I believe there is a track in Bunnell (paxtraxmx) and of course the track in Bithlo (motocrossworld) close to me. I'm not quite ready for that yet although I am considering the MX school. $30.00 gets you the instruction in the morning and unlimited track riding for the day. Sounds like a day of pain is in order!

Re: Who has one and what kind?

Scottsmore isn't nearly as big but it has a mix of sand, high speed whoops and some ridge riding with a ditch of death for added stress. Not bad but not my favorite place. It's located @ I-95 and the Oak Hill/Scottsmore exit where the old Dairy Queen burnt down during the '98 fire season. Just across the interstate from Stuckey's. FTR does some hare scrambles on the Stuckey's side of the interstate.

Re: Who has one and what kind?

I had a 01 KTM400sx,
than someone decided that they should have it more then me.

Thank god I had insurance on the thing.
I ended up making $800. on the deal after 6mos use

And the thing is, I was trying to sell it for $1700. less than the insurance company handed me, so I guess the thief did me a favor of sorts.

I wish it would happen with the 929.
