is a 2007 honda crf150f an alright size for me?

hey guys, im new here. i wanted to ask a few people who actually knew about hondas a few things, im 5'6-5'7 and a 150lbs. i used to have an xr80 when i was younger. i have a bike now called a lifan. its a chinese brand. its the 200 iii model 2008. i found a guy who wants to trade me a 2007 honda crf150f for my lifan. i want to do it but i dont know if i am too big for the bike or not? the guy says its big enough for him and he is 6'1. what do you guys think?

Re: is a 2007 honda crf150f an alright size for me?

I have a chinese 110 Honda knock-off that I use for just a pit bike, but I am about the same size as you and a 150 is perfect. my friends and I have a mini mx track and the rules are 2 stroke 80 or 4 stroke 150. I have a crf450 for when I want to get serious, and it is huge. I would be careful though and make sure there is nothing wrong with it, because I don't know anyone who would trade a japanese bike for a china bike.

Re: is a 2007 honda crf150f an alright size for me?

I'm 5'9" and rode a CRF230 for 2 years at my local pit bike track due to displacement restrictions. It's got slightly larger wheels than the 150 but most of the guys there were running the 150's before the 150R's came out. Plenty of "big kids" running around on those. I became much more confident dropping down to that bike for a couple of years after selling my CR250R. Great thing about that 150, BBR Motorsports makes a decent amount of aftermarket stuff for it. Heavier springs and such to make it a little more friendly on the jumps. I did bottom out a lot if I didn't nail the landings just right but overall, you should be happy with it.
