XR100 service manual?

I'm looking for service manual procedures for diagnosing the electrical system of an XR100. A friend borrowed an XR from another friend but it's got no spark. We're hoping to repair it before returning it, and trying to do it without having to buy a manual too.

Can anyone help?

TIA

Re: XR100 service manual?

What year? Older ones had points, newer ones CDI. I got a manual around here somewhere...

Re: XR100 service manual?

Thanks G-Force. We've found an obvious problem...pulled the stator cover off and it looks like something got in there and tore up a bunch of stator windings! The bike had been leant to a third party (with the owner's permission) and came back to my friend this way. Strange.

Thanks again for the reply.
