| over 6ft. RC51 riders, got a question. What mods have you done to increase your comfort / ergonomics on the machine? Yes I know it's not a touring machine, it's a race bike. Any suggestion? Seat, rearsets, bars? My brother can't seem to keep his knees in the cutouts of the tank no matter what seating position he tries. Thanks people. |

Thanks people. | Lower the bars about an inch or so and get the highest most radical rearsets you can find . . . |

| Re: over 6ft. RC51 riders, got a question. 6'2". First mods I did, Corbin seat on Sato Clip ons. The thing is easier to turn now (not that it needed much help) and comfortable as chit. The Clip ons spread the bars out and up about 1", makes all the difference in the world. Thb bike is very comfortable. Stock it's a rack to ride on the street. |

| Re: over 6ft. RC51 riders, got a question. I'm 5'2", so I put the OEM rearsets on backwards and upside down. It's a bitch shifting with my heel, but I'm getting used to it. |

| Re: over 6ft. RC51 riders, got a question. I'm 6'3", and I've only sat on the RC51 once. I didn't have both feet on the pegs, but from what I remember, it's a bit more radical than my TLR. I've done long distances, and never really quite worried about the knees fitting into these cutouts. The biggest thing I've found for comfort, believe it or not, is my Joe Rocket tank bag.
If your pal needs more info, I'll post it or give him my e-mail. |

The only time I'm worried about my knees fitting there is when I am blasting down the straights at a trackday, and when I slide my ass all the way back to the hump, my knees can tuck in.
Not any help, I know, but like you said, it ain't no sport-tourer. |
