I guess that's why they're not selling... |

| Re: real nice plastic! Seems like the best thing to do is get a set of rashed stuff off ebay and send it all to www.empiregp.com then sell your stock stuff. I bet you'd come out near even if you did this.

One could get that same paint scheme done better for a little over half that on their own plastics. |

| Re: real nice plastic! WAY too much money. Although the fonts are off, I think overall it is a decent try. I wanted to paint my 929 like that for a while now. No $ though. |

| Re: real nice plastic! I'd say with un-rashed platics, that paint job could be done for around $1000, at least for a quality shoot with quality products. Of course, if you went with Omni quality products and didn't do the prep, it could be done for less. (I have helped paint a few bikes, no fun . . . at least to get it right)
I think the guy is crazy to be asking that much just because you can't see how good the job is. There's one thing paying for a custom paint job you want and seeing the end product and being able to scream about any imperfections, there's another thing shipping it across the country with no easy way of getting it 'finished' to the quality you want. |

| Re: real nice plastic! I don't really like the them BUT custom paint for a grand is CHEAP! I know a guy that does REALLY good work (if anyone needs any done) but it will likely be at least $1500 (depends how labor intensive it is) for all the plastic. |

If I remember correctly, he quoted $2K CAD for a custom job, citing that the more monotone colours, the harder it is to paint. Dunno if that holds any salt.
For $1K US, it isn't really a lot per se, but having to throw in your own plastics, plus w/o seeing it in person, that's a big gamble, no? |

I was thinking the same thing.. looks like ass. Now if they paid me the $1000 to put that crap on my bike... well... it would not fit but that's beside the point.. |
