| My buddy's custom RC A friend of mine just finished up with his custom RC51. I think you guys will like it, so I'm posting a couple photos which I took in his garage yesterday.
I apologize for the indoor pics in relatively poor light; we were busy trying to get out the door after rebuilding my suspension so we could ride (more on that in another post).
He's put the bike on quite a diet. In fact, he's got a cardboard box full of stuff that he stripped off the bike in an effort to lighten it, and he's replaced virtually EVERY nut, bolt and fastener with new pieces made of titanium. He's got a customized pale blue Zero Grav windscreen, blue anodized forks, carbon fiber mirrors with built-in turn signals, Sharkskinz bodywork and a whole host of other odds and ends that I'll never begin to remember.
I think the best feature has got to be the stunning RC30 inspired paint. It's as nice a paint job as I've ever seen...

this track bike has built in turnsignals and an "endurance" type headlight. i'd be willing to bet this bike sees street duty. |

It's fully compliant with local vehicle code. He's got an SV and a Ducati 749R for the track (one of only 240 in the States this year!).

Chain, you consider that license plate location legal?
All joking aside, beautiful machine, it's a toss-up between that and Abtechs machine. I'd almost have to give Chains friend the nod just for the fact it's "street legal".

You can actually see it from behind and he has it illuminated with white LEDs.
Agreed, abtech's bike is uber-sweet too.

| Re: My buddy's custom RC FWIW, unless that pencil headlight has a DOT stamp on it, it is not street legal. Catch a cop on a bad day and see what happens.
As for the RC30 paint scheme, I think it looks much better on the original bike (but I'm a little biased).

I'm a police officer myself and the owner asked me to go over the bike with a fine-toothed comb in one hand, a copy of our state traffic code in the other, and in my professional opinion, he's fully compliant where he lives. |

In any case, he painted the bike this way as a tribute to (not as a duplicate of) the RC30.

BTW, beautiful RC Chain!

| Re: My buddy's custom RC No offense intended towards your friends RC, it looks great, but I would take LDH's any day. Every time I see the pics of that thing on RC51.org I just want to trade in my 954 and get an RC....man that thing has sooooo many usefull goodies on it.

Dano | No doubt, LDH's RC looks like it's had a few bucks spent on it, mostly in the gofast department. |
