| Where to get new Fairings I was an idiot today and took a turn too fast and caught some gravel while driving through Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas. Luckily I straightened out in time to hit the dirt instead of concrete but now I'm bummed because there are some cracks in the front of my RC's body and fairing. I could probably order new ones through the local Honda dealer but are these typically fixable (crack is about 6 inches long) or can new/used ones be picked up online somewhere for less?
Thanks,
Mark

| Re: Where to get new Fairings I have sent friends to do the eBay thing, and if you look in the back of cycle world, or motorcyclist, there are TONS of discount part places out there. Do not go to a dealer...trust me. are you going to buy all the plastic? Or, just the parts you need?
glad your ok. |

| Re: Where to get new Fairings If you are going to get new stuff, go to Ron Ayers. Great prices and they help support the site. You may be able to get them fixed for cheaper. I found this site on Rogue and they fix and repaint fairings. They also do some kickass paintjobs at a decent price. www.empiregp.com

| Re: Where to get new Fairings After looking more closely it's just the front Cowl that's cracked, not the left fairing. This makes things a little easier.
Will an RC51 2000 front Cowl fit an RC51 2002?

The reason I doubted is that I shopped around at windshields and mirrors and there are ones for 2000-2001 and different ones for 2002-2003, so the indication is they are not the same.
Luckily Ron Ayers has a new one for $316. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

| Re: Where to get new Fairings The difference on the windshields is that the 02+ has more of a bubble to it, where the 00/01 is flatter. The difference for the upper is that the 03 doesnt have the black # plates and the 04 has white # plates. Other than that they are all the same.

| Re: Where to get new Fairings But with yours being custom painted, I would check out the empire GP link above. They seem to do great work and if you send them another piece of plastic, they can probably match it pretty good.
