| huge drama... So I am thinking about doing the whole rim paint removal like I did on the 929...what do you all think? I just take the paint off with aircraft paint stripper (nasty stuff). I liked it on my 929...just not sure I will on the 51, anyone done it?

| Re: huge drama... Nahhh, if you want to do anything, get a painter or reputable powdercoater, and get the rims painted/coated to match the silver on the bike and have it cleared. I did this on the stock wheels after my rear rim got all scratched up from a flat and it looked sweet. If you decide to do it, make sure the clear is baked on rather than painted because painted clear on wheels will flake off. http://misterb.speedyard.net/images/...20Show/RC1.JPG |

| Re: huge drama... My brother and I saw 2 traded-in RC 51s at the dealer today, both of them had the polished lips. Both looked like a$$. Sorry, SMTB. I could get pics if you'd really like me too, of the bikes that is. |

I like the silver wheels. Complements the stock paint well. |
