(Edit a few minutes later: I've viewed the clip twice now. I have wood. TMI, I know, but that bike does a pretty good impression of a Nextel Cup car on the boil!)
My ex-wife had a brother I used to visit in San Diego. Lovely country. Perfect weather, nice roads, the women are unreal too - but you know that already.
Also, I see you've got yourself a VTR. Pics? Melikey that bike. The day Honda gives it fuel injection, better suspension and even a modest facelift is the day I walk into a Red dealership and buy another motorcycle.

Theres a couple times that it sees just over 7, but those are the second gear corners (and the one 'oops', mis-shift (thought I was a gear higher))....
I promise I won't be under-revving it in a few more months.
Sounds about right based on what I hear. The system sounds very nice, but I honestly haven't had the occasion to run mine through the gears in a similar fashion to hear what it sounds like.

It took me less than five minutes to get to that road.
I'll have to dig up the VTR pics. Most of them died in "The Great KireNet Hardware Crash" two weeks ago...
Can't go wrong with any Honda. |

Looked like a pretty entertaining sport pace for the streets even with a short shift or two sprinkled in. Anyway, back on topic, that Jardine sounds fantastic IMHO. |

Thanks for the honest opinion, Chain. I try to keep it sane (and in my lane). Gotta go to work on Monday (or Tues. in this case), so I gotta make sure I come home safe every time.
On that note, here's the return trip west on Old Julian Highway.
I'm also rendering Wynola and should be finished making it available in a bit... http://phantom.kirenet.com/~haywood/...July042004.wmv 23MB |

| Re: RC vid... As promised... Wynola road, heading West. http://phantom.kirenet.com/~haywood/...July042004.wmv 28MB
I'm still learning this road, which is why it's a pretty slow trip. Lots of 'false' 90-degree turns. But a few real ones too.
Stock gearing on the RC makes this a bit difficult too (listen for the gearchanges to get through a couple of those slow turns).... |

| Re: RC vid... Awesome sound! Makes me want to add a fiddy-wun to the stable. 'Course, if I had my druthers, I'd have a *huge* stable full of all sorts of interesting machinery.
That reminds me, I finally broke down and picked up a minidisc recorder recently. I need to capture a good clip of the full Sato system on the 'Blade.
Thanks for sharing that.

I was gonna do that, but I hear they start rolling on their own when you do that. Ever hear anything about that?
The clip would be just to tempt others away from less-qualified systems.
