At most I got 1400 out of the rear if my records are correct. All street, mostly country twisties....maybe I am downshifting too soon... alignment is spot on.

All street, mostly country twisties....maybe I am downshifting too soon... alignment is spot on. | If you've got the money, and don't mind the work and scratches involved with frequent tire changes... still, that seems really low, and I did mean it about a cooler running tire, since you're in Texas.
I don't think I'd ride nearly as much as I do if I had to change tires every 1K. That would amount to roughly 20-25 tire changes a year. Fooook dat |

| Re: some good news, and some bad news weird...I didn't like my 208's...and they lasted about 3K. I went back to what the 929 had (pilots). I find them to be more my style..not sure why. OH I HATE when the rims get all marked up! |

| Re: some good news, and some bad news I'm going to try the Pirelli Diablo Corsas on my track bike. Been reading alot of good thing about them. Suppose to last a long time.
Talked to Jim from Trackoholics and he said they should last all season for track days.( about 10 days) Something about they don't heat cycle like normal tires and last longer because of this. I'm a little skepcital, but worth a try.
i've been using Dunlop 208 GP's, which are great tires. But after seeing Jamie Hackings Dunlop rear tire expolde at mid Ohio right in front of me at 160+, its time for something else. Not that I'll ever place the loads on a tire that he does, i don't need that going through my mind . Sorry to ramble on. |

| Re: some good news, and some bad news I'd say you're doing fine. I've got less than 800 miles on my bike and I've already been through like 6 sets of tires.

I had the DCs on my F3 and got around 3 out of them due to wear and that wasn't running hard at the time.
