| Safety Wiring Exhaust Cans Have a friend that occasionally breaks a spring on his Satos...
Have seen a couple of pipes that were safety wired, so I wired his this weekend. However, we ran the wire inside the spring so that at least the larger piece would not make it onto the track if it broke.
Is this acceptable, or is there a better solution...?
Thanks

The TZs used to break springs on a regular basis and GLRRA wouldn't even let the bike through tech if the springs weren't wired "through style". |

| Re: Safety Wiring Exhaust Cans The HRC springs for the RS's have a rubber tube over them to dampen the vibration, they break alot faster without them. They usualy break at the base of the hook where they were bent 90 degrees, so wiring throught the middle holds the big part on when it breakes. |

| Re: Safety Wiring Exhaust Cans Hmmm....that's where these have been breaking as well. Right at the stress riser. Might have to try the rubber hose thing... thanks
The safety wire will catch the big piece of the spring, but does anyone know a way other than the spooge of silicone to catch the short piece when it breaks?
