NEED HELP W/THE TWIN!!!

NEED HELP W/THE TWIN!!!

As some of you know, my brother has a TLR. Well we put a full yoshi exhaust and a power commander on it. Well here's the problem, the bike does not run hot but the exhaust are glowing red!!!! what the hell? Can it be running that lean? Hopefully, you RC guys can help. Thanks!

yes it can. You need to have the bike mapped or get the right map for your settup.

We downloaded all the maps to his laptop then loaded what we thought was a pretty close map, but it's obviously way off, so I'll try loading another one and see if it helps. Will the enrichment screws on the p.c. help any?

You have screws on it? You might have an early model I am not as familiar with. Regardless…the one that I had on the 929 is pretty much the same as the RC, so I will tell you what I do, if I need to do anything. There are three buttons to increase the richness levels of the fuel. Once you are able to move them around (and you can with the laptop I think) to make is more rich throughout the curve.

I personally have never seen this…I have put many exhaust systems on bikes, and never seen the pipes turn red….unless they pin it for a long time I imagine. Does this happen at idle? Does it only happen on the header? Also try it without the PCII or III or IIIr, whatever you are running. Lastly have you tried it with the 0 map in it?

it's a pcII and it did not do it with the 0 map loaded. but then again it ran like total sh!t with the 0 map. we are loading different maps to see if it clears up. will let you know...............
