Once I get in more seat time I am sure there will be alot more things I notice. Tell ya one thing for a bike that most people consider a "pig" I had no problem tossing it around a little. Once you start going it feels as small as any other bike |

| Re: The beast and me..first ride Congrats, TGZ! I'm really excited for you, as I know that feeling of euphoria that comes standard with any new bike (you know, that feeling that Chain is addicted to ). Have fun! |

I know what you mean about the gearing. Play with the throttle from about 3k in each gear. See where the torq really is... |

| Re: The beast and me..first ride Heavy-Dee- Count only if... ah **** I cant go there this early figment- Sweet man I rode in too. So you feel the same thing about the gearing which makes me feel better. I started to figure the bike out a little (almost 200 miles so far) so it can only get better Bacchus-
Can't believe I didn't think of that!
Why not that was an easy one I thought that after I changed the line above the avatar to Twins Rule JAMI6989-HAHA clipons on yes bonzais no so soon. I heard them last night though and man oh man those thing are evil sounding Dont know how easy it would be to sneap past the neighbors in the morning when I leave bwhip- Quote:
(you know, that feeling that Chain is addicted to )
| Its just so easy to pick on him that it goes in every thread
And for those of you who never rode a twin dont do it unless you want to go buy one. The feel, torque and sound are kick ass.
One of my favorite things about the RC is that while we were out last night I saw none. 2 F4i's, 3 600rr's, a kawi or 2, even a busa (non pink color ) But only one RC |

| Re: The beast and me..first ride Congrats, sounds like you're really enjoying it!! If you feel like taking a ride on Saturday, ride on up to Pocono Raceway. HG and I will be there for a trackday with Reduc.
I may be up for riding on Sunday, if I get my 'blade back to street trim. My Ducati is apart because one of the screws that holds the seat locking mechanism fell out. Do you think I can find a screw to fit at the hardware store?? Hell no. It's not a 4, it's not a 2, it's probably some damn special Italian screw that I'm going to have to order from the dealer. Ok, I'm done now! |

| Re: The beast and me..first ride All this RC talk is pissin' me off, making me want one. Too bad I can't afford another toy.
Anyway, FWIW, I've ridden two RCs. After playing with gearing on my Monster (the first bike I've dabbled in final drive stuff on), I can safely say were I to win the lotto and bring a new '05 Vader-rep RC home, chain and sprockets would be the very first mod. They are hopelessly overgeared from the factory.
Then I'd fit some loud cans.
But that's just me.

Gearing is definately being done over the winter I can deal with it for now since there is limited riding time left for the season.
But winter time the bike will be stripped down, cleaned and modded |
