| My New Ebayed RC-51 The Ebay Auction
For the price of $6200 I received a 2002 RC-51 with 6250 miles a corbin seat, sato bonzai's, throttle meister, a PC IIIr, all of the stock pieces, and 3 years of Honda's extended warranty. The owner said that there were scratches on the tank from a tank bag and after waxing the tank they are almost impossible to see. This bike has almost no flaws, it is beautiful and runs like a champ. I can't wait to get the PC IIIr on there and change the sprockets (this bike is horrible in 25 mile per hour zones). Finally, here is a link to pictures of my bike!!!
I really think I got a killer deal on this, what do you guys think.

So far I have to say it is pretty fun, but the tall gearing is really annoying me. What have people w/ bonzai's done to stop from melting the back of their boots to the pipes? Also what can you do to safely clean melted rubber off of the pipes? I have only hit my boots once but the previous owner left some pretty good patches. How often do people with bonzai's generally get pulled over? I work for the county sheriff's dept so I am not quite as worried as most people probably are but there is always a chance that a state trooper will be out.
Chris Thanks for the many welcomes!!! |

I have used brake cleaner (when pipe is cold) to clean it. Also I have used a razor blade (but that is the advanced class, I have yet to scratch anything). I have only hit is like 3 times though...so not too bad!
I have NEVER been pulled over for the pipes noise...damn...like every harley I see around is still louder than my RC. |

| Re: My New Ebayed RC-51 Nice bike !
I was doubting between that and a 954 (not the most obvious bikes to put in a comparison ...) but I choose the 954. Allthough the RC51 is something very spectacular .. (I rode it some weeks ago)
Anyway, how do you buy a bike on ebay ?
I can't imagine buying a bike that I've never seen/ridden (when it is not brand new) what if there is something wrong with it when you get ? You allready paided then no ? ... |

eBay YES, has some scams...but buying a used bike, car, etc can be a good thing. I have a friend that sold his TL1000R on eBay...worked great. I think I will buy my next auto from there.
If you buy one and have it shipped to you...make sure they put some kind of insurance on it if anything happend. Rufuse shipping otherwise. Sometimes they have refundable deposites if your not pleased...no one on ebay really wants negitive feedback. Buying pretty much anything on ebay is the same. I personally have had good luck. |

| Re: My New Ebayed RC-51 that helmet is awesome. I currently have a Suomy Spec-1r Guareschi and it matches the Erion paint scheme of the 929 really well but I had the idea when I was looking for a new helmet just to buy a plain black one and buy the sticker from above the headlight and put it on there and maybe a couple small "Erion Racing" stickers for the back/sides and then clearcoat but never did it. you make me wish I had. I still love my helmet anyway.

I paid for the bike upon delivery. I saw how good of condition it was in and I was happy, then I heard that sato bonzai's and was .

Basically I read through the auction, looked at the pictures and placed a bid. The reserve wasn't met until I bid, so I didn't think there was a chance that the reserve would be low enough for me to win, but I guess I was super lucky. I only bid $100 more than the reserve. So far I only kind of like the bike, I'm not overly crazy about it but once I get the PCIIIr put in (just got it yesterday) and put sprockets on it I think I will be in love.
