| Re: new 51 owner Just check this database and it'll pretty much tell you what is loud and what isn't. Personally, modding ur bike to make it "loud" seems like a waste of money but it's your money so go for it. exhaust database |

| Re: new 51 owner You may not want to do a full system and Power Commander, but depending on what you're after it might be worth it. You owe it to yourself to listen to Haywood's video of his 2-1 Jardine piped RC.
Wake the dead loud and you'd need to do fuel management (unnecessary with a pair of bolt-ons), but it sounds totally kick-ass IMHO. RC vid...

No personal experience however... | I've heard the slip-ons as well as the full system pictured above (both bikes here in Omaha). I would agree with your friend 110% on the 2-1 system; the slip-ons are much quieter and require no PCIII.

| Re: new 51 owner Hey Chain, Have you been by since I got My rc51 together. You should hear the Jardine 2 into 1 with high compression pistons, h beam carillo rods, carbon airbox, cam silencers removed, etc. Loud Yes, but not as bad as the Banzai High mounts I ran at the track 2 years ago. They were wake the dead loud. The Jardine 2 into 1 is a comprimise in HP, creates good torque and saves weight like the Jenny Craig on Crack Diet. |

Chain summed it pretty much up. It's fooking loud and it' needs a repack now (hey, I put 10K miles on it since purchase May/04).
When we're having 'fun', most people won't ride too close behind me, they complain of not being able to hear thier own exhaust. It's fookin loud. Sedate riding, and you can keep it pretty docile. The videos on the site, the master audio is turned down about 60-80% to eliminate clipping when recording. It's fookin loud.
My neighbors haven't complained, but three on my cul-de-sac have open pipe hardleys...
I do like the weightloss however. I have the stock system and it's easily gotta outweigh the full Ti setup by 30lbs or so. Friggin heavy!
If it was my money putting on an aftermarket, I'd probably go for the Sato's. But, it came like it did, and I like the look/weightloss. I've adapted to it without any issue... |

| Re: new 51 owner I suppose it's been said already... Jardine's can be loud. I have the straight through RT/1 bolt-on for my 954. My 954 has seen more track miles than street miles so I love the sound... with no remorse. |
