safey wire and your front sprocket

i bought a new front sprocket. i'm dropping to a 15, since i've already gone to a 42 in the rear. here's my Q:

the new front gear (Sun) is solid with no holes. i want to safety wire the nut after installation, as everything on my bike is safety wired already. do i:

1.) drill two tiny (.035) holes in the sprocket to run the wire through?

2.) resort to Locktite instead.

3.) drill the sprocket nut and attach the wire to the clutch hydraulic line to make sure that nothing moves. with my recent Nicky mod, this should look really sweet..........

no seriously.....................ideas?

If the compression washer is installed correctly, you don't need to safety wire the sprocket bolt, as the pressure and rotational force won't let it back out. Blue loctite is fine . . .

Although small, drilling holes in the CS sproket will unbalance it and increase vibration slightly if they aren't placed symetrically.

yeeeeeaaaahhhhhhhhh.....i was thinking along those lines as well, so: i installed the new gear, used locktite and left it at that. not only that, the gear is hardened steel and i don't have the correct bits to drill through that anyway.

can't wait to see the difference...........
