| Oh the temptation............ The dealer I buy from has an '04 RC-51 leftover.
I need to keep telling myself that the bike is a lot more uncomfortable than my 954.
On second thought, with the sound the RC makes.....who cares!!
Anyone ridden both? |

| Re: Oh the temptation............ I owned a 929 and have ridden an RC. Ridiculously uncomfortable...but if you got both, who the heck cares?
If I had the money I'd definitely own an RC if for nothing more than the sounds. Gear driven cams, Sato Banzai's...oh how sweet the sound |

| Re: Oh the temptation............ Both would be ideal, but the Blade would have to go.
I rode an RC last year for about 20 miles and wound up buying a leftover 954 a few weeks later at a different dealer. I vaguely remember being uncomfortable and getting cramps in my thighs. The only thing I know for certain is that my jaw hit the ground when the dealer started it up outside the showroom. |

| Re: Oh the temptation............ i have both, and the 954 is much more comfortable but the rc is a blast to ride. I have done a couple all day rides on the rc so it is possible. I added a corbin seat and some gel grips and it made a difference. After adding the satos and pc it just made my smile bigger.

I think I'll call the dealer and have him keep an eye out for a cherry 2003.
He had 3 last year for $8,500. |

| Re: Oh the temptation............ Get the '04, the silver frame is much nicer. The RC is a rack "out of the box" but who keeps their bike stock anyway? The adjustability of my DK clipons and Sato rearsets eliminated all this nonsense about being uncomfortable. |

| Re: Oh the temptation............ I never found the RC to be that uncomfortable. I inherited mine with a Corbin seat and sold it as soon as I got it home.
