| bike acting up i went riding with some friends yesterday and everything was cool. a friend of mine was showing me a trick with the bike how to turn the bike around on the kick stand just in case my short self parked it where i could not back it out of, but to make a long story short after that my bike cut off at idle and i was told it could be the tip over sensor to turn it off and back on and it should be fine. but since then it has cut off a couple of times and the FI light came on by the time that i made it home. this morning i am on my way to work and it does it again. so i get it started again and run it for a few miles and then it seems to be fine and the light has not came back on...WTF? could it maybe be some sediments in the tank, or did i screw up my bike? anyone else had this happen? and it seems jerky no matter what lower rmp i am running....even as high as 5 or 6. how can i fix this? |

| Re: bike acting up Is the kickstand kill-switch loose or damaged? That wouldn't explain the fueling though.... I'm sure someone will chime in with a solution. |

| Re: bike acting up First guess is the kick stand was coincidence. How soon before did you fill the tank? Sounds like bad gas, maybe water just a guess. Without knowing the 'trick' I am not sure what it would do. However you need to lean it a long way to trigger the bank sensor (and key off then on resets it).

| Re: bike acting up Based on that I would put a small amount of heat or stp in it, then top it off with gas from elsewhere.
If they were filling the tanks it might have stirred up sediment and water in the service stations tanks.

Pull the bike towards you until both wheels come off the ground and rotate with your body.
as was said that should have nothing to do with your problem. |

| Re: bike acting up Wild guesses, pinched vent or gas hose? Does the FI light flash? Did you do the FI diagnosis light thingy? Check the ECM connections, battery connections, disconnect the PC and see if it's better? |

Since it seems you have the problem when the tank is full... I would try filling it half way and see what happens. Also are you filling it past the inner plate thing? I will have to look at the manual but on my RR it says to not fill above that (in other words are you filling all the way to the neck?)
