what kind of windscreen is that and do you have a front view? I'm wondering what a dark screen looks like with the white front number plate |

| Re: Mods Complete Thanks guys.
I've looked into the Ti hangers, but for now it's not worth the cost. I almost had a cheap set on EBay. Maybe someday.
The windscreen is an F.Fabbri from Indysuperbikes. I had one for my 954 and liked it so much that I bought one for the RC. Very thick plastic, and there's no break line where the bubble starts on the screen. |

The undertail was difficult b/c I was figuring it out as I went and took a long time to think about things before I cut. It would go much faster the second time around. I initially figured where the cut needed to be, but took smaller steps just in case. When I was done, I had cut all the way to my original line. I am very impressed with how clean the whole assembly is.
Making the first cut on my brand new bike with a hack-saw was the hardest part. Here's some pics. http://fireblades.org/forums/showthread.php?t=39324 |

Quality hugger but expensive at around $200-ish. Down side was they provided no installation/care intructions and I had to go out and find new bolts and a brake hose clamp to install it properly. It also took a month for them to fill the order. Superbikesupply kept telling me it would be in any day for over three weeks. I'd recommend trying to find one in stock somewhere or using a different distributor.
There is a smaller chain guard molded into the hugger, but you do lose the piece behind the left heel guard. |

Great looking mods. Once I get the money to fix my bike, I intend to do it right. I haven't read much on the Arata for the RC, what were you able to find out in comparison with the Sato low mounts? |

I've only got about 150 miles on them, but so far I agree. Fit and finish is fantastic.
Satos were going to be my first choice, but I did run across some people who've had problems with the big twin rattling them apart. My local shop was willing to get either for just about the same price but REALLY recommended the Aratas. I took a chance and am very happy.
I also added a Power Commander, which has made power delivery very smooth. As far as increase in power, I can't say. I haven't had the bike on the dyno, and I didn't use all the power in stock form. My unqualified opinion is that the midrange is a bit stronger and smoother, and the fun factor of the louder pipes is HUGE! |
