Just picked up a 03'RC-51

Just wanted to say hello and I love this RC!!!Had a Erion 929RR which my fiancé now rides(she loves it!!) My RC is all stock and I have visted Rogue site but was wondering what is eveyone one's take on Erion slip on pipes for the RC are they worth it not sure of the price gap & performe gap and sound between the Jardines,Sato,Arta.My friend has on his RC 2-1 Jardine and it sounds great but I would like to keep the 2 pipes? Welcome to the site. You'll love the bike. I think you'll find this board doesn't have such a hot opinion of Erion or Jardine. If you Search, you'll find several discussions on exhaust.

Who 's was the person that was getting the deals on the Carbon radiator fins? Are they still available? Satos do look hot I would like to see more pics of carbon ones any diffrent in sound low mount vs Banzais?

Dunno about sound, other than Satos are all loud, and the low mount make an extra HP or 2. I'm sure some helpful RC51 expert (which I'm not) will chime in.

If you hunt around on eBay and the WERA site, you can probably find a set of pipes for a decent price. A set of Akro with CF cans is going on THIS site right now for 800 bucks (and it's a full system as well).

I've found that www.rc51.org is really helpful with just about any mod you want to do just click on the "mods" link at the left of the page.

Thanks been there.Its seems as though Sato are really good but dam what s up with the price.They also sem to be the only pipes with high exit and still keep rear pegs.

Thanks, hey what do guys think of going up a few teeth on the rear sprocket and how many i have heard that the stock 929 & 954 will work which is about 43 vs 40 rc-51?Cant wait for some pipes!

I went down one tooth on the front & was happy but think that I am going up one on the rear now. Heard it was a good combo. The top speed of the bike is the only thing that I am willing to sacrifice- the gearing is so long and there is now need for me to go over 170mph. I like to keep is all down low where i use it, Hence why i bought a twin this time.

I've got the Jardine Ti 2:1 full system on my '03. It kills some of the bottom end, but the mid-upper revs are a hoot. It sounds nice, but it's bloody f'ng loud. Loud enough that one of my riding buddies (who's deaf in one ear) won't ride behind me because he can't hear anything then. Really the best thing about the Jardine full system is the weight. It comes in at around ~12lbs or so. I have the stock exhaust and it has to weigh in close to 45lbs or so. You can really feel the difference, even with a bike that doesn't have stock pipes anymore.

I just did the 520 conversion and went two up on the rear (42) and it's one of the best mods around. I prefer to go up on the rear so as not to put more load on the countershaft, it's purely a streetbike afterall. I am considering a damper now though because the frontend is a lot lighter with the 42...

I have the rt-one race. i love them- right out of the box they were loud and cleaned up alot of the surging on the bottom end. they are just the slip ons but i am going to send out the headers and get them jet coated to see how that does. will let you know if it changes anything.

Sweet did you install PC? How do you like them Powers my stock Dunlops suck can not wait to change them.I had Pilot sports on my 929 and they where great.

have not done the pc yet, will be next after the stanless steel braided brake lines. as for the pilot powers, only got 72 miles on them and they are better than the dunflops ever were. the lean angle and the feedback is just amazing- i highly recomend.
let me know what you think if you try them.
