No reason you could not try it one day. Be sure to have the right gear, but then you should have most of it for street riding

| Re: bless the man that made injector cleaner There's this one woman that rides the local tracks. Hot pink 636 and hella fast! I mean scary fast. Get into it you'll enjoy it, you'll get lots of help and great info. Best move I ever made (don't miss the streets one bit, not saying you have to give that up). |

| Re: bless the man that made injector cleaner I hear ya, definately been there. But:
1. If you take your time during the off season you should be able to find a nice set of leathers between $300-$500 *new*
2. Street tires are fine for starting out at the track as long as you don't get too fast too soon.
3. Sometimes you gotta travel a bit to do what you enjoy, cheap open trailers are easy to come by. That is an awfully long time to drive (one way) to get to a track so that's understandable.
4. We could all use some of that! Yeah that's usually the biggest factor for just about everybody. So many costs to consider.
Some CR friends of mine were bored the other day and sat around and figured out what the approximate cost is per weekend for them at the track (keep in mind they're cr's and don't have to pay for track time). Not sure if it was the booze but somehow they came up with an average of about $1500 per track weekend!!! But they do go through tires like I go through toilet paper and they drive all over the place. |
