| Heated Vest I'm going to buy a vest to use in Vermont next week on my VTX and figured I'd wire the RC too. Anyone know if the RC can handle the load of a heated vest and gloves? |

| Re: Heated Vest I ran my Widder on my 51 a few times before the bike was stolen. No problems in the short time. I have used it on my 929 many times and no problems attributed to the vest. Only thing you need to do is to turn the temp down when in city traffic as the draw combined with the brakelights and low revs will drain the battery.

| Re: Heated Vest I use a Gerbing jacket liner and gloves on my 929 and haven't had any trouble, even in city traffic. I use an adjustable thermostate to keep the heat "just right" which also keeps the draw on the electrical system lower (unless you have it full on).
When I bought it, the rep (got it at the San Mateo bike show) said any modern bike can easily handle a jacket liner and gloves. Check out Widder's stuff and see how many watts they draw, then do the same for Gerbing. |

| Re: Heated Vest I'd heard that the 954 lacks a little in output but wasn't sure about the RC. Anyone using the battery packs? Are they small enough to be a viable option? I'd rather do that than wire into the RC. |

| Re: Heated Vest My widder vest pulls about 35 watts. Vest, arm chaps, and goves about 80. Thats less than your high beams pull so if your not riding with your highbeams on, you should never be able to discharge the battery. |
