guess what Johny Law gave me today!!!

Here I was just getting off work in a great mood crusin along. I see an open spot in traffic that i decided would be better for me to ride in than behind a truck with all kinds of stuff hanging out the back, so i gas the rc just a little and go around the truck. Just as i get to the open area i see mister blue lights coming down the hill, switching lanes. Didnt pay any attention at first cause i didnt think i did anything that any other sane person on a bike wouldn't do. Then all of a sudden i hear a siren behind me and i check my mirrors...holy crap mister blue lights has turned around and coming this way. Here it comes, just too good of a day i knew something would ruin it somehow. So i pull over and this guys says to me..." why were you weaving in and out of traffic and speeding?" and i reply.."did you happen to see the truck with the shovels and 2 by 4's bouncing around in tha back...i didnt want to be hind him, so i got ahead of him, in order to do that i had to speed up just a little." the speed limit was 55 and he clocked me at 64. and the donut eating window licker gave me a f"ing ticket. for less than 10 over when all i wanted to do was get away from the retard in the loaded pick up. ok...i had to let it out.....now i feel a little better.

That's total horseshit. 64 mph on a divided highway? I'm usually polite and courteous with cops but I'm afraid my mouth would have got me in a pile of trouble there.

window licker?

Sorry about the ticket, this seems over the top for the situation. I would think most traffic cops would have let it go considering the circumstances . . .

You've haven't dealt with insecure CHP officers.....

Sorry about your ticket, but that sounds like it should be easy to fix and get rid of.

Re: guess what Johny Law gave me today!!!

I gotta tell the story of the ticket I got coming back from Sportbike West a few weekends ago.

I was coming into a little town called Cranbrook on my way back to Calgary. This is on a double-lane divided highway with a 100Km/h speed limit. I roll into the industrial edge of town and an RCMP coming the other way looks at me, lights me up and pulls a u-turn to pursue.

I immediately pull over, get off the bike, remove my helmet and gloves and start digging for my insurance.

He walks up and asks me: "know why I pulled you over?"

Me: Yes. Probably for speeding.

Cop: Know how fast you were going?

Me: no

Cop: 118Km/h. Know what the speed limit is?

Me: 80?

Cop: 60. Two more Km/h and I'd impound your bike for dangerous driving.

Me: Sorry about that, didn't know it was only 60 here.

He goes back to his cruiser and starts writing me up. Meanwhile, a suburban pulls up, and the driver gets out. The guy goes over to the cop.

Driver: Did you get him for speeding? You better write him up for passing on a double solid too. Nearly caused an accident.

Me: What the **** are you talking about?

Driver: You passed me and 2 other cars coming up a hill back there and nearly caused an accident

Me: I didn't nearly cause ****

Driver: You nearly hit a Volkswagen van head-on.

Me: Bullshit. What the **** are you, a cop?

Driver: Yes.

Cop: Yes he is.

Me: Groooaaaann

So in addition to an Excessive Speed ticket ($379.00) I was given a Passing on a Double Solid ($109.00) I'm fighting them both though, and don't expect to pay either one. Done this a few times.

Count your blessings. At least you didn't get a ticket for having a headlight out.

we never think that "getting out of the way" could also mean slowing down and putting distance between you and the other driver. You'll never get a ticket that way.

mmmmmm, donuts.

Suggestion: Go to court and have your day, plead your case, and the worst that could happen is your stuck with a ticket. Dig?
