Re: front cowl

The cowl just takes some jiggling to drop on in my experience and the bigger impediment was wires.

The other is the flapper mod and you can check www.rc51.org the mods link for a good write up

Re: front cowl

COW=RC 51. Hmmm lets see, slow and cumbersome, lots of noise and doesn't really go anywhere? Yup, that about covers it, COW=RC51....

Re: front cowl

Actually he was talked of the inlet in the front that acts as a track cow catcher. It's function is to snorkle up R1s and spit them in the direction of a wheelie contest

...and if your doing the flapper mod then you should do the PAIR mod while you have the bike stripped down. And, if you wanna lighten the bike even further then check out thorstens web site and pick up a carbon fiber snorkel. it has about twice the volume and none of the flapper crap!

www.honda-rc51.de

..hell, while your at it pull one of those pesky fans off the inside of the radiators to A) cut some more weight and B) allow air to flow through at low speeds, since the fan operates in the opposite direction on air flow when moving. good luck and check out the forums at www.rc51.com mucho information there!!! just do a search first!
