| CF Lower It has begun Got the lower now to start ordering more. The biggest question I have though is the heat sheild stuff Opp recommends. Anyone use it? Is it necessary?
Yes I know it needs cleaning, just pulled from the packing peanuts. |

| Re: CF Lower You'll only regret it if you crash.
Otherwise, it's my kinda bling, functionally superior (in this case lighter) and looks cool.
I just said to nhff in a PM that carbon and Ti are to me, what diamonds and platinum are to most women. |

Secondly, what clearance issues are you talking about with the tail liner and rear fender? I have both and there are no clearance issues at all. |

I had just heard that sometimes re-gearing and undertails did not mix well (with 190s) So I was a bit hesitant on the hugger. The undertail I am more waffling on brand (ART, Opp or other). I can get a steal on an ART and the fenders seem decent but no one seems to have much to say on the undertray. There are a couple of other brands that seem to get good reviews also.
The heat they have a whole kit on Opp. Seems a bit pricey though |

| Re: CF Lower Uh yeah, that's a bunch of money for no "custom" anything.
I don't think you want to wrap your headers. Just get the stuff abtech was talking about. Sometimes it even has adhesive on the backside so you cut it to shape and just stick it on. |

Plus I can likely get header tape here in town (need some for the rear header anyway (to save the shock and eliminate IR noise for my planned suspension sensor ) |

That's a first! I can't imagine wrapping the headers would be fun or easy... Maybe I could con someone in to it. "Come on! It's fun AND easy! The instructions say so!" |

| Re: CF Lower Header wrap fun?
I should've read that.
Take your arms, immerse them in the finest pool of fiberglass shavings you can find, and then tell me if wrapping headers with thermal tape is fun.
IT SUCKS!
And it thermally fatigues the crap out of your exhaust system. |

On the side there is not indents for the screws so why didn't they go ahead and drill so it was ready
Now all I need is to provide positive feedback to the seller via paypal |

| Re: CF Lower I believe the rear header/shock heat issue isn't really an issue. I can touch anywhere on the shock after 10 laps and although warm, it isn't even close to the temp of the header. I have the Pyramid rear fender and run a 190 without any problem at all. BTW, I made my undertail unit out of sheet teflon with Dzus attachments. The only reason I use an undertail is to protect all the electronics since I have a "slightly" modified rear subframe. |

The other huge difference is for now I still want the ability to go back to road legal at times. While it spent all of last summer in track trim in a couple of weeks Mom and Dad are moving back here and I think there is a chance of riding some with Dad this summer if I have 2 bikes
Thanks veefer800canuck but it had a front fender when I bought it. So the fender and lower are now here.
