No difference at all. Load the appropriate map for your bike and exhaust configuration and swap away.

Yeah, I think there was a slight difference in the wiring harnesses (longer ground, different layout of the connectors) but functionally they're the same.

wow-i was told that they didnt interchange-thanks guys-my track bike came with dual high mount hindle full system, and a pc3r. I figure the pc3r and exhaust combo will really help the street bike. Mike

They are different part numbers on Dynojet for what it is worth. I would not do it but then I am picky.

Re: difference between sp1/sp2 power commander?

yep-i know they are listed as different part numbers, thats why i figure id ask WHAT the difference is. Harness length/connecter layout seems very feasible to me, I know dynojet lists 929/954 pcs as different (they interchange, but loading maps must be done by manually entering data) and gsxr 750 pc3s are listed as different 00-01, 02, and 03, but all interchange fine. Before I do it Id like a bit more testimony though. Keep it coming.

They come with different part #'s because they are loaded with different base maps.

Units are completely interchangeable. I've done with it both a PCII and PCIIIr.

Re: difference between sp1/sp2 power commander?

Alright folks-heres an update. I went ahead and installed the pc3r from the 2001 rc51 on my 2004, and it worked fine. No problems at all. I then called dynojet, and they stated they are listed as different part numbers due to the base map installed-they interchange fine.
